We humans constantly reach out to each other to connect using our hands, our hearts, and our voices. The bonds created give us strength. Hands, hearts, and voices are our tools for change.

Through the simple act of opening ourselves to others, we can often provide comfort, healing, and hope. Vox Pacifica’s spring performance will explore these connections through song. This upbeat program will include Sara Bareilles’ Kaleidoscope Heart and Sing! by Pentatonix, both featuring energetic body percussion. Stephanie Straight will join us on djembe and vibraphone. James Mulholland’s luscious Heart, We Will Forget Him is set to the poetry of Emily Dickinson. It features a horn collaboration with Jane Aspnes that will certainly fill your hearts.

We are also proud to introduce the Happy Valley Elementary Choir directed by Katie Tully, and the debut performance of WA State Senator Sharon Shewmake. A highly entertaining and moving program is in the works!

ACDA NW Performance - A Success in so Many Ways

We are still floating on air after our ACDA-NW performance experience January 24-26, 2024. An event that will be one of the most memorable for most of us. We have returned more inspired and more connected with each other than before. We are elated knowing our voices and the messages in our songs resonated on a very emotional level for so many people in our Spokane audience.

Singers have shared conversations they had with tearful audience members describing how Vox Pacifica’s music connected with them. A choir of young high school girls came over to where Voxxies sat after we performed, very emotional, sharing how much they loved the music, how they were deeply moved.

Vox Pacifica’s goal to bring our listeners together in the spirit of love, unity, and belonging, and to send them along with full hearts and new memories was resoundingly achieved.

Music exists in the act of singing the notes, but its ultimate home lies in the hearts and minds of those who hear it.
