GREAT NEWS! Vox Pacifica is grateful to be one of the recipients of a generous Working Washington Grant from the Washington Department of Commerce. These 2022 grants are designated for arts, heritage, and science sector organizations impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Vox Pacifica’s mission is to inspire and empower our singers and our audiences through the performance of quality choral repertoire written for women’s choirs. Under the artistic leadership of Wendy Bloom, our new choir, formed in 2018, is cultivating a loyal following through excellence in performance incorporating a rich palette of sound, and a repertoire that is meaningful and empowering.
The arts have struggled in recent years due to the substantial loss of public funding. However, one type of arts organization continues to grow and thrive despite budget cuts: volunteer groups, where devoted artists are driven by the love of their craft, not financial gain. Although these artists have refused to put a price tag on what they create, their groups still need support.
Vox Pacifica is one of these organizations that prioritizes artistry over economy. Our all-volunteer ensemble depends on ticket sales, contributions from individuals and local businesses, and grants to cover our operating expenses, deliver our music, and provide scholarships to musicians who otherwise could not afford to participate.
Vox Pacifica firmly believes that a society’s art should reflect its richness, not its riches. To maintain our artistic integrity, we rely on individual donations from supporters like you. Four Ways to Support Vox Pacifica
Here are four different ways you can support Vox Pacifica!
1.) Come hear us sing
There is nothing we would love more than to see you and your friends at our performances! Our audience is growing in direct relation to our fans’ enthusiasm and encouragement! 2.) Come sing with us!
Audition to sing with Vox Pacifica. Audition typically take place in the spring and towards the end of summer, just before the new season begins, but Wendy Bloom would still love to hear from you anytime if you are interested in singing. Learn more about auditions and participation.
3.) Your time and expertise is needed
There are many ways your talents and skills can help Vox Pacifica. We have opportunities ranging from bookkeeping to ticketing and more! We are particularly in need of individuals experienced with fundraising and grant writing. Volunteers help us weave an aspect of community through everything we do. 4.) Make a monetary donation
Vox Pacifica is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Your contributions, which allow us to purchase music, compensate our director, accompanist, and guest musicians, acquire performance space, and provide scholarships to our musicians, are tax-deductible and deeply appreciated.
